    Since I couldn't find anything on the subject here with the search function: - I would like to start a new project and rebuild the Autobahn A4 from my home town to Dresden as an open world track. Procedural in Blender.

    Due to the level of detail i want, there are performance problems without LOD optimization.

    There are corresponding LOD settings in the KS Editor,
    is anyone familiar with them and can explain them to me briefly? Thanks.

    Two ways to use it:

    1. Without a second LowerDetail mesh use:
    LOD_OUT=500 to hide small meshes at a distance

    2. With a second LowerDetail mesh:
    for first HighDetail mesh use:
    LOD_IN=0
    LOD_OUT=300
    for second LowerDetail mesh use:
    LOD_IN=300
    LOD_OUT=1000
