Hello,
I searched the forums and the interwebs, but I can not really find an answer to my problem.
I created a collection of low poly cars to use as track side props, but the baked normals only show up correctly in editor when i use ksPerPixel_NM_UV2 shader. Every other shader i tried, the shading is completely off. Which is a shame because i would like to use the multimap shader for these cars and some other props i created.
I tried pretty much every combination of baking normals i ever learned, vertex normal splits per Uv shells, allsmooth, splits with weighted normals, allsmooth with weighted normals, MikkT space, and so on.
I get very nice and clean results when i use vertex normal splits per UV shells combined with face weighted normals and MIkkTspace and Y up green channel curiously, but only when using the ksPerPixel_NM_UV2 shader. I'm not sure if i don't see the obvious solution here, maybe somebody who has done more track modding has an idea.
Also, i thought about sharing these cars and other props I made as a modders resource, i am curious how much interest there is for stuff like that. I also created some low poly 3d trees for my track project which Icould share with other track modders.
