SUGGESTION Discord chat channel for the group

ive been using discord in place of skype and ventrilo and team speak for over a year.. its certainly the best overall voice chat, file upload and text chat application. provide help a lot easier, and possibly we might all be somewhat more friendlier through the frustrations of moding

A very good suggestion Pix. Will see how to implement it soon™. I know it's possible to add a small widget on the menu side, so we can see at all times who and where is connected.

OK, let's see how this will work. The "Beta" status is there just to mark a "testing" phase. We normally should not experience any issues.

This should come as a complement for PMs, I guess, and most importantly as a place to get to know each other a little bit. I do hope however, that this new feature will not move *all* discussions there, because then the number of people that can benefit from the shared wisdom, will be very very little.

Anyway, let's test and see. Happy discording .

good job ! I agree with what you say, its intended for the more experienced user really and anyone using it should encourage others and themselves to post that information on the forum too.

needs a layer of admins, it shouldn't be free to join without invite at some stage.

needs a system so a first time user of the website cant just pop in and start random questions. this should be to facilitate the serious user of the site.

it should also promote actual racing ideally.

and "ENGLISH" or (broken) is of paramount importance, too

is it possible to disable access via forum stats ? so user must have 10 posts or 10 likes before joining etc.

I'm in, always useful to have direct contact when sharing info/advice.

Discord are supposed to be adding screen sharing sometime soon.

why isn't modding voice category in the list on the web app ? other than that its quite cool I think.

For the moment, there is no implementation of a direct link between forum account and discord profile.

Therefore, our system is:
- You should be a registered forum user.
- You should have at least 10 posts.
- Private for the moment. Should it become public again, we'll announce it.

- then PM @luchian , or @assettocorsamods and you'll get the invite code.

NOTE: As for the forum, Discord language is also English.

I haven't seen any complaints or signaled problems , therefore I think it's safe to assume the beta is over.
And with the end of beta, so is free join. Rules for joining in the above post. Discord away .

NOTE: those that already joined, should normally not need the code anymore. (unless you don't have the app, and only use the web version; in which case, PM).

Following some private discussions and the dynamic of the original discord server ACM, it has been decided to make it and keep it private. It does not mean closed per se, but will work like a secret society - only after great trials one will be able to join. IF worthy .

No, just kidding . There is simply not a real point for a Discord server for the moment. Should it make sense to open one again in the future, we'll make a new one. It's (still) free.
