There should be an open event soon-ish, but organized races generally are on hold currently. Especially with summer vacations starting, not too many people available it seems.
However, if more racers would express their interest like you just did, I'm sure we could get the ball rolling again.. .

Are there any details on said event and is the server live or still down?

Server is down for the moment.
Date not set on said event either. Weapon of choice is MX-5 it seems.
A thread will be made when decided, in the dedicated section. That's all I know for now.
