Indy Road Course - Can you make a specific configuration?

Hi,

I'm a racer competing in the SCCA Majors Tour and in the National Championship Runoffs.

The "winner take all" Runoffs is our championship race at the end of the season. It moves to a new track every year. This year it's at Indy and is using a unique road course configuration. I'd like to practice this configuration using Assetto Corsa. Other Indy configurations are available, but not this one.

Can one of you folks stitch together the configuration I need? This could be a paying gig, if you can get it to work well.

Here is the track map for the configuration that we're using:

PM me here for details.

Thank you!
Kyle

Hi Kyle, welcome.
Lucky man to also race IRL :).

What you need is definitely possible. Speaking on my behalf, unfortunately I don't have the time this year to take on this challenge. However, I hope one of the guys around will give it a try. Would be quite cool to see something like this happening. GL !

In case anybody's thinking of giving this a try, know there is even Google Street view of the track :). Any reference is a plus. Here's a funny photo :D

Thanks for the interest!

This will be a huge help to a real racing effort.

Last year I was pole sitter for the Runoffs and finished 2nd with a lap record along the way.

I will not waste your hard work!

Here is my incar video from the race:

Thanks Pixelchaser!

For my purposes, the track side objects are not critical.

I want to train for this event. I know the track side objects would make it better, but just being able to drive the configuration will be a huge help.

Please Please Please Please Please !!!!

ill have another look tomorrow. ... just out of interest...why don't you try Iracing version of indi ?

I just don't think I'm quite good enough yet to be plunging into such a project that should be accurate enough for you, the banked section is what worries me, presently I'm making lime rock and I'm finding with the same type of data many anomalies that require track maker skills to circumvent and fix. its an acquired art and I'm getting there. just not ready to make an accurate project from scratch but ill look see again.

I need the specific configuration that we're going to use for the SCCA runoffs. Its never been used for any other series before.

The map of it is here:

The new layout could be grafted into the current mod with minimal effort. BUT the current mod is a rip from a codemasters game so it is a bit of a conflict of interest for me. If this were to remain for private use only then maybe we can work something out. Looks like the race is in September so there is some time here.

Also Pixelchaser posted first so it is up to him to pass on this.

LilSki,

This would be for my use only. I'd be willing to sign something assuring that.

This would be super helpful to me! Please help! If you're in the US, I'd be happy to put you on my crew list for any race that you want to attend!

Yeah as long as it won't be public I am OK with it.

I'm currently deep into building Watkins Glen, NJMP Thunderbolt and updating Bridgehampton so I can't start on it immediately. Once I get Bridgehampton sorted and off my list I can experiment with Indy. As I said If I graft a new track into the existing mod it won't take too long.

Thanks Man. I have extensive experience at all of those tracks and I live close to NJMP. I also have tons of in-car video from WGI and NJMP. I worked for SBRS in the 80s and did my school and a couple of races at Bridgehampton.

I will also be racing at WGI and NJMP this season and would be happy to get you on my crew list. Typically there are lunch time drive arounds, so you can drive the track.

So maybe I can help you too!

Please email me at disquek@yahoo.com and we can discuss the details of these!

Thank you VERY much!
