Track wont load into Assetto Editor

Hi everyone, first forum post here.

I have been learning blender, following various guides and youtube videos, and have been having trouble.

I started with just doing a big plane to drive around on for proof of concept (final goal is an autocross course) and placing the start, and timing markers etc etc.

However, when i go into ac editor it doesnt show the plane, rather a black void on the bottom of the screen.

All help appreciated, I feel really confused right now.

Mine is something like this as well but instead of uploading or adding a new track - I'm trying to mod an existing track. Running into the same thing - it doesn't load in AC. Not sure if it's a naming convention. I see it in the KS editor just fine and I've saved it as a track in the editor after duplication the existing track folder so I don't save over it... but again, it doesn't load. Not sure if I have to update the Ini file or what...

Any light that can be shed or specific links to the First time modders tutorial would be helpful.

Right at the top of this section:

But if you are resaving the track under a new name, say the folder is now called "copy_ks_laguna_seca"

Then the main KN5 needs to be named the same, and the models.ini also updated accordingly

Appreciate the response... gonna try that... so that I understand this... I duplicated the folder and named it ks_black_cat_county - Tester01" so I need to rename the KN5 the same name and the models.ini folder the same as well? And I also saw someone say you can't use capital letters...? Does that go for this case as well?

Correct, no upper case and avoid using the ' - '

ks_black_cat_county_tester01 should be ok. Then in models.ini, rename ks_black_cat_county to ks_black_cat_county_tester01 as well

You introduced Instanced objects? ksEditor cant handle, also object with more than one material gives unpredictable results

Ctrl+A -> Make instances real (if in menu)

and this, Object->...
