Hello there. I’ve always been asking myself this one question: how hard can it be to develop a spiritual successor of NFS Porsche Unleashed (a.k.a Porsche 2000 or NFS5)?
The original game has a very basic progression system where you race chronologically through various eras and in different real-life based locations. Then it has a side campaign where you are a rookie test driver and you have to pass a series of driving tests to earn exclusive vehicles and make yourself a name in Porsche’s test driving team. All this is from the PC version, not sure if the PS1 version works the same way.
Thing is, thanks to the huge modding capabilities of AC, something like this shouldn’t be so hard to do, right? We can import new tracks, new cars and from what I’ve seen from recent high tier mods, you can make a brand new campaign and even your own custom UI and menus.
I’m surprised no one else had this idea in mind. Probably this game wasn't so popular at the time and that’s why...
