QUESTION Enabling Local Reflections causes odd mask on transparent object.

I was trying to hide the pitguys sunglasses.Mesh Adjustment Hide commands do nothing.Cant hide the ear muffs either (just a test).I made the sunglasses textures transparent there and it looked great til I enabled Local Reflections and that mask appeared.Havnt been able to hide that no matter what I do_Only happens with Local Reflections enabled.

The mesh is still rendering from what I can tell.When you can see through the mask you can see the shape of the mesh where it would normally be blocking the ear muffs you can see through to the background.
What is this mask being produced from and why cant I hide the mesh at all?

It sounds like Local Reflections are still picking up the mesh even though it’s hidden. Try adjusting the reflection settings for the sunglasses or ear muffs, or disable reflections for that specific mesh. You might also want to experiment with alpha channel transparency to hide it properly. Hopefully, that fixes it!

It sounds like Local Reflections are still picking up the mesh even though it’s hidden. Thanks,I too had these thoughts.The eproblem is,ext_configs dont have any effect at all.Dropping new graphics in your skin folder works but a config does zilch. You cant just alter the material.(I dont think...)

Zero affect.The game dosnt react at all when you save a change to your ext_config like it normally would.

I changed some settings in CMshowroom and nothing happened.Its like the stuff related to the :lol:ipop man are protected. ....??

EDIT Ok,it seems all it needed is Blend_mode = Alpha_test.Now the only problem is how to set the mirror versions for the left side pitman.InCMshowroom you can only set tthe right side pitman and I dont know where its even being written. EDIT...its written directly to the pitguys kn5.(so affects ALL other pitguys as well) That means you have to open left side pitguys kn5 to set the same as right side.How???

Ext_configs dont have an effect in cars extension folder nor in skin folder.

kn5 was unpacked by Content Master by using shift and doubleclick the kn5.
