SOLVED [Error] Sketchup to Xpacker (RTB)

Hey guys, hopefully someday I'll be the one helping, but today I'm the one in need of some advice.

I'm having troubles exporting .fbx objects to Xpacker (Race Track Builder).

When trying to export .fbx, Xpacker gives me the following error: "FBX Exception Failed to initialise the FBX importer: Unexpected file type".

I've tried the following without success: export model as .dae to Blender and then save as .fbx; convert the ASCII .fbx file from Sketchup to Binary; export model without textures.

I'm pretty sure it's something nasty and dumb I'm missing here, but I'm new to the modding scene, so... :(

Thanks in advance! :)

needs to be fbx v 6.0 for AC and editor etc. incase you selecting something else.

models coming from sketchup can have hundreds of textures and materials. and xpacker wont like it. you can send the file to me and I will look and tell whats wrong, anything else is a guess.

Thanks @Pixelchaser! I wasn't aware about fbx versions.

My original model is pretty big, so I'm attaching another object that I'm not able to import as well to Xpacker.
My Sketchup version is the Pro 2017 version 17.0.18899 64-bit. Should I consider a downgrade?

I'm embarrassed as I've figured out myself the solution. I've exported from Sketchup with the following options checked: triangulate all faces and export texture maps.

Sketchup will export textures to a folder and will keep the fbx file out of it. So one should put the fbx file within the same folder as textures and voilà.

Hopefully this tip could be useful for another user.

For a car was around 200k in the beginnings. I can'tvremember now if cockpit was included or not (HD version around 50k maybe ?).

The info is here somewhere, but search is simpler on PC :)
