AC_POBJECT HELP

I am trying to create a variant to a track (a Kunos). It's easy to do (in theory) as all I need do is move two foam-block barriers that presently block access to the variant. They are AC_POBJECTS, i.e., physics-enabled. The curbs and asphalt of the variant are already modelled, and assigned the correct object names, i.e. it's driveable.
I need to move the foam barriers several meters to block off the primary circuit and unblock the variant. If I rotate the foam blocks 180 degrees I even have the arrows pointing in the correct direction. Simple.
Unfortunately, when I move the barriers they are no longer visible in Assetto Corsa. They are visible in the FBX, and they are even visible in KsEditor, with the correct material and texture, etc., but they are not visible in Assetto Corsa.
As AC_POBJECTS I note in FBX that their location and origin were not "applied," so I did not "apply" these after I moved and rotated.
I think this has something to do with the location of the mesh versus location of the empty, but I don't understand this stuff enough to solve the problem.
Any help greatly appreciated.

no dont apply transformation
set origin/pivot of object to center of volume
and all should be fine

depending on your settings you might have to export with scale 0.01 or 100.0

oh and xyz should be like this, x axis rotated 90 degrees, so it "looks" forward
just like car stuff
(and in my case w scale 0.01 i dont have to export w 0.01 scale...
atm idk how to describe scaling, you must experiment...)
