Late evening yesterday, finally the 1.8 update went live on steam. As previously stated, this bring some bonus content : the Audi A1 S1, and New Monza 66 in 2 variants, including the mythical Sopraelevata.
Optimizations have been done in the way the CPU-GPU are used, and this brings the performance up quite significantly. Up to 30% in some cases. Which is A LOT.
Improved reflections (Having had a look in-game, I still need to be convinced about these..), and improved shadows.

One of my favorite features is the ability of saving MP replay without rushing out just after the race. Yay ! (I know, it takes little to get to me)
Aaand, there are a few new (mystery) MODDING options added:
1/ extra animations now binded to three channels NUM 4, 5 and 6 (group animations to make them play simultaneously, otherwise each clip will be played separately)
- I wonder if these are only car related/or track also ?
2/ rotating object support for cooling fans [ROTATING_OBJECT_0] in extra_animations
- as a wild guess, I am imagining this is due to the fans the Meco's Porsche 917 has ?
3/ series scripts added for digital speed bars [SPEED_SERIE_0] in digital_instruments
- cars, ofc.
