Blending textures coming out darker than texture

Hey,

I haven't been on here in a while I'm still working on it but by bit, hope you are all doing well :)

Anyway to the issue I can't provide images as I'm on my phone but I'll walk you through the workflow.

For my blending textures instead of blending two surfaces together I:e concrete to grass I decided to use one surface so e.g. Concrete.

2048x512 width
Take my original texture I use for the concrete and make it into a pattern in photoshop and paint the pattern into the canvas. Now as it's the same texture it should be the same resolution and brightness.

When I've done all my textures I put them into a 2048x2048 document so I'll usually have about 5.

Create mask

Create a plane and uv map it now here's the problem the grass, concrete and gravel are all coming out allot darker than the texture already In the scene and I can't figure out for the life of me why.

They are all saved in dxt5 dds format and the alpha works fine I've also tried matching the values in ks editor to no avail I just can't get it to match up. I've tried ks per pixel with alpha blend, ks at etc and no good.

Has anyone got any ideas it has to be something to do with photoshop I think but I'm out of ideas. Been trying to figure it out for 2 days now.

Have you figured it out already ? hard to understand without ilustrations of the problem. Could be mesh normals, could be shader settings.

Wait until you're not on your phone and provide screenshots of the workflow.
