Car lights dont light track

Ok heres the problem, I have a modded track im working on, when I do a night race, the cars lights light up but it has no effect on the track, as in the track stays dark, from behind car view it looks like the cars lights arent even on but using freeview I can see they are. Ive tested other modders tracks that all have the cars lights lighting the track & some tracks dont have the ext_config.ini at all, Ive configured the ext_config.ini to get some basic street lamps working in early stages but I can see that tracks dont have to have an ext_config.ini to have the car light up the track, Ive tried baking & non baking textures when exporting from blender? what am i missing? I thought thier was an element missing in my track compared to the others Ive reference but its not that case. I just want to work out why the cars lights that do work dont emit light onto the track, makes testing at night very difficult, thanks.

when setting up the shader for materials in ksEditor, ksDiffuse parameter is for how sensitive a material is to light.

you probably set that to 0 for all materials?

Fughettaboutit, a huge thankyou, your steered me in the right direction, with some trial & error with the shaders, I got the balance right. I thought the tracks were great till I started doing the night stuff. Cheers.
