QUESTION Do I need pit boxes?

Hey guys, my first post on here.. I'm currently working on a Go-Kart track (Daytona Sandown Park, UK) and I'm just adding start grids and pit boxes.

Question is, do I need lots of pit boxes if I want to be able to have a race or just lots of start grid slots? In reality, you don't tend to pit in karting and it will look very odd in the game with tons of pit crew standing around...

Thanks for all of the info on here, it's been a great help in getting me from Blender to AC!

Im pretty sure you need them because otherwise there will be no where to spawn in the other modes outside of race. So you can't enter practice mode. I might be wrong on that.
