QUESTION How To Begin Adding 3D Objects To Original Tracks (Not Skins)

Apologies if this has been asked a thousand times over - I've tried searching all over this forum and the web to understand how this works and I keep running into walls.

I want to add my own objects into existing tracks (specifically Magione). I've currently managed to modify textures and make my own skins, all that fun stuff. But when it comes to adding other 3D objects onto the track, I'm completely stumped.

I thought you could use Content Manager to extract the track data, import into Blender, then export for importing back into AC. I've only found info on how to do this with cars (I've enabled developer mode, and paid for a key thinking this would enable this function for tracks).

I keep reading how CM enables export of track data and for the life of me can not figure out how to do it.

Again, huge huge apologies for the noob question - just a point in the right direction would be amazing!

Cheers.

Adding stuff to existing track is quite easy, you need to use tool like 3dsimed to export fbx of existing track to some temporary folder, load it to your preferred 3d editor, place your custom objects where you want them, then export just those objects to new fbx, load that fbx to kseditor, set materials, export as new kn5 and move that new kn5 to track's folder, then either you will create new layout and modify models.ini file of your new layout or create new models.ini file if there is none (take sample from other track, items inside are quite self explanatory) and add the record about your kn5 to it.

There is another option, to inject stuff trough CSP config, but I would stick to more vanilla friendly first option.

You legend Fuzo.

That's put me on the right track - I'll give it a shot and update how I go here. I'll try the first way you mentioned. Cheers.
