QUESTION How to modify triggering of the exhaust flames?

I would like to know more precisely how the exhaust flame effects are controlled in the car's data. I know some of the basic things, like messing with the flames.ini file to place them correctly, but there are other things I never properly learned how to modify. I noticed flames can be triggered in different moments depending on the car. Sometimes they trigger after a downshift, sometimes they trigger when you let off the accelerator after reaching or nearing the rev limiter.

I'm trying to figure this out my self have you had any luck I found some good stuff but now I'm trying to figure out how to get more then just red and blue flames any idea on that ?
