QUESTION KsTree Texture issue

Hello, i hope someone helps with this problem.

The Trees don't look the same from different cameras.
when i use first person camera, all looks nice.
3rd person camera. looks weird. like using the Ks Default shader.

in another tracks i tried to build, same issue + the trees too dark in one area. too bright in other areas.

i used many techniques like 2 sided planes, flat shading, normal up. all gave similar results.

Regards.

How have you set up the objects? Trees should be named a certain way to the editor groups them and changes the normals automatically. Vanilla AC does not support double sided faces, so you need to have two different faces (normals in opposite directions) to achieve the same effect.

I believe there's a post in this forum, ported over from a post by Lilski on the RD forums, which details how to set them up.

Yes I did all of that, names and faces.. as you see in the video it looks fine when camera inside the car but doesn't when the camera is outside :(

or you are using R.A.R.E app and it has made "data\surfaces.ini" invalid with
WAV=extended-0
or something

edit: or dont use a car that needs csp

edit2: my main point is: i think that your trees are totally fine, you just have broken CSP settings or are using a bad CSP version (use 0.1.79)

IMO looks like exposure issue, try different Post Process filters, check if you are on 100% exposure settings ingame (page up/page down). If you are in internal view your picture looks brighter than outside the car, because of the different exposure settings. If it looks good in ksEditor it should look the same in game. AC trees won't never look good anyways :)

OK guys, so I think it's ExtraFx issue. Not sure though what exactly it is.

I disabled ExtraFx. All looks good in any camera.
If I enable it, but disable for interior cameras. Happens like in the video.
If I keep ExtraFx for everything, it'll look bad in all cameras.
.
Tried to disable the ExtraFx settings one by one, but no result.

So, I'll keep this question opened till we find a solution. Otherwise it might be a bug or something.
Tried different csp versions, all same. At the moment it's 1.80 preview 1.

i see similar problem with lights. 3rd person cam all fine... in one of the 2 cockpit cams, the ambient lights are just over bright / ultra emissive... (from lanterns or house signs)
same with reflective things like road painting...

:EDIT:
so it seems to be an "issue" from cars then?? i do not made any car yet, but i guess there are configs to change optically the view (probably to imitate windscreen efx)?
so we get those brighter textures and lights... probably... i would guess!
