MSR Houston, about 40 miles south of Houston, Texas in a flat "coastal plains" area. Compared to Kyalami, it's a pretty insignificant track, mostly simple in design (has a "hump" and two minimal-camber turns), and quite "rough" around the edges for a race track. Because of it's "simplicity" and I've been to it, it's a great candidate for a first track mod project and I'm part of a team that has participated in a few 24-hour endurance races at this track. A few "amateur" members could still use more "track time," evaluation, and instruction to improve their lap times. What track you building?
These are captures from early in the development. It has progressed some since these images, but unfortunately, it's a low priority project. I was hoping to recreate it's "rough" look to really make the virtual version a lot like the actual track. Maybe seeing your work will inspire me to get back to this and finish it for Assetto Corsa. I was originally creating a version for GTR2, but I'll probably skip that.
