I'm having problems to make chrome or metal-based materials such as car paint shaders too. And some difficults to properly set PBR materials (what shaders should we use???)
Ilja implemented PBR but with almost zero documentation and a lot of bugs. I played with it a little, created PBR dashboard for my Cupra TCR, there were some issues with reflections on parts with higher metalness and he said it was too difficult to fix and that was last time when I heard about PBR from him. But it works in a way, if you have correct textures for it
