An alternative resource data approach.
Small history lesson: The iconic symbol of the Nürburgring is the caste called: Nürburg. Nowadays, it's not a fully intact castle anymore it's more or less ruins.
And that's what comes to my mind every lap I drive down the Döttinger Höhe and I look to the right:
"Nahhh... this castle really don't look like that!"
This is how it looks:
So I plan to recreate it. But that's not that easy to do only from images and google maps because of its complex structure of the ruined castle walls.
But with photogrammetry it might be possible.
I found that drone footage on youtube, extracted every 10th frame as stills and loaded them into meshroom. A free open source photogrammetry tool.

It took several hours to render (maybe 337 pictures was a bit too much) but the result looked very promising.
Next steps were: Import the generated 3D Model into 3DSMax/Blender and model a low poly castle around it, generate textures and export as an additional kn5 to load with CSP config.
This is the result:

I have to testdrive it some more (check nightlightning, sharp edges, etc...) to see if this is worth a release.
