Oh, wow.. very nice tool ! Just watched the whole 40min of it :). Thanks for bringing it up - will watch this closely.

I'll use this post, to collect useful information.

From AC member Snjper:
Very easy to use.. was able to whip up VIR and Laguna Seca in ~10min... (no track side objects)

Right now RTB(v1.0) is not a fully functional so you'll need to do some tinkering to get things to work/look right.
once you get the steps right and using saved objects (starts,pits,trees,...) within minutes you can have a fully functional track that looks pretty darn awesome.

Some notes...
- google functions work surprisingly well but google is not perfect...
- performance.. its kinda gpu hungry ... helps to create a gpu profile that uses lower settings.
- make sure you save your work! every time you make a change!
.. there's no undo.. so save your work and also make copies of the project folder once you've made bigger changes...
- my workflow if you will... RTB -> 3dsmax -> ksEditor -> AC :D
.. fbx - import centimeters, export meters -- for the new, AC_PIT_0 and AC_START_0 (1m box, ~1m off the ground), Y is UP, Z forward rotate X axis +90.. thats all you need for PRACTICE
- no real need to mess with the shader settings...
- I, smooth the track surface using max.. it can be done using RTB but I just had better luck..

immediate purchase for me. funny though, i`ve always been against these tools but only in favour of max etc. but these are getting to be on the right track regards the streamlining of the process. soon it will be about the artist and not the technical accomplishment involved in using what are comprehensive tools.

55 euros. nearly lost all my hair trying to get it to work TBH. way to early to buy. but pretty cool so far. I mean minutes and you got terrain and track outline. it is literally google earth terrain with some extra algorithms. looks ok from here.

So you already bought it !? Oh, I mean, it's out ?!

55EUR seems.. a 'bit high ? Generally speaking ? But I guess it all depends on the strategy Brandon (&Steam) wish to apply. Make it cheaper so everybody with the slightest interest buys it. Or a little more, so only the more serious users join in..

I'll have to give it a closer look and buy it too :). (with the money from pCars ).

its an astronomical price for a novice. for a track creator it just saved you mega hours on build time. sheesh theoretically its quite the thing. also it should improve the modding scene.

it should have a demo. or a restricted version at a more superficial spending price.

I just bought it but the interface is completely empty, like how important is you a Google MAP !!

So if I get this right, ALL it does currently is extract the terrain from google ? (..and export it, of course)

Now I get to show a google map, but the location is not working properly. Can not find the Bathurst circuit, when I entered the coordinated lat / lon

probabe coordinates format problem might be your issue there.

I Open google maps or earth alongside RTB, and visually search for an area.

myself and Liquido thrashed through a lot of the program last night. quite interesting. whilst not fully functional. its still quite capable. earlier I had thought what other possible related API`s do google offer and after watching this, it confirmed... googleroads API may possibly work in the future. and that's another superb facility. now. Where is that Lidar do it all for you in 1 button click API .

Brendon has started his tutorial channel.

I'm sure I will buy that software, I belibe I spend more time with BTB than any other software in my computer, hope Bremdom works fast to have all the BTB features inside RTB.

Yesterday Ali show me a few things inside RTB and it was amazing, the potential is masive, but as you said rigth now the interface is empty.
