Added normal, specular, roughness. I've taken the screens within Unity, later on in the evening I will see how this looks in AC.

Looking better alright, we'll see how to improve it but after I finish re-modelling the last Schumacher plaza building.

EDIT: btw, if you're wondering what's up with the moire pattern, well it's because of this detail here:
pitstop1972_semi4.jpg

I will be fixing this.

Really curious as well on how it will look in AC. Especially shadows, since we know that's a struggle for AC's current engine.

You know what I might have the time to import this in quickly.
EDIT: Jojo, quickly, that took forever, anyway here it is. It seems I still don't know my way with AC shaders. Don't have much time right now, but later on I will fix it.

And here the track layout 1972

No worry, working on shaders does not affect the rest of the work, so you have plenty of time for that once the modelling part is over.

Ok so I'm back, it has been a busy week. So anyway I had some time today and here's what I've got so far:

I've been messing around with the ksMultiMap shader, and I think I'm almost there. It is looking better, but it can be improved. Now I see what was explained earlier, about the shadows not rendering correctly. Geometry can't self shadow?

Probably you have already noticed that these doors are different from the other ones posted before. These are the 1972 - 1985 aprox. version.

As you can see, now the 1972 barn garage can be used to store and fix the Ferraris

And here I've been messing around with the track layout and schumacher plaza buildings.
test_track.jpg

A) (1) This is me parking an 488 GT3 into the barn garage (3)
B) (2) and (3) are the 3d buildings, they fit in perfectly thanks to the hours of measurements.
C) And (4) is an AI F40 racing the track. It does a pretty good job at it. There are some small things that can be improved in the AI file.

One last thing, you can also appreciate the 1:1 size between the models and the actual satellite image, ie: 3d cars and the ones on the image, pretty damn close I'd say :D !

That's it for now, I hope I can have more time on my hand soon to make this progress. Any comments, suggestions, congrats, etc, are very welcomed.

EDIT: BTW, I managed to relocate some stuff in the barn garage UVs, so now the 1972 and the 1985+ version share the same texture, which will cut file size.

Make sure shadows are ON for the object, in SDK Editor.
But generally, shadows are not the best in AC. Also for "inside" spaces, you can have light creeping in, even though there is no "window". And some other artifacts. But you see this only if you stop and analyze - so considering this is a racing sim, it should be fine :).

Otherwise, nice progress, looking very good !

@luchian , dude I wasn't aware of the shadow flag within the SDK :banghead:
Now everything comes to life, them damn shadows were playing tricks on me, hehe.

Yup, that did soooo much good to the model!!

Just gorgeous, specially with that big sexy ass in front!

Thanks a lot people for your help! Cheers!

Some stuff that should go inside the barn garages, for extra atmosphere ( low poly stuff ).
Remember that in 1972 you'll start inside the garages.

These are just some objects from an old 3d project I was working on, so some stuff will change to be in tune with the era, ie: the toolbox will change to one more suited for 1972.

Look at the bright side (wink wink): you have put the effort to make it look good already, and now with shadows ON looks very very good :).

Impressive! :)
Thanks mate, it'll keep on getting better as it progresses. Expect more soon!

Thanks, it's been a hell of a job, I have some things in mind to improve some other aspects of the shading, so we'll see how it ends up.

Late marry Christmas to everyone. UPDATE coming today, stay tuned!

EDIT: wasn't able to finish something, and I thinks it's best to show it when everything is in order. I found myself drowsing in front of the screen o_O, so I'll be posting screens tomorrow.

Not really a big update, I've been working on the shading and textures for the enzo house and barn garage. I think I'm almost done with these.
1) Close up of Enzo House. I think the textures are looking great.
1.jpg

2) View of both buildings.
2.jpg

3) New brick texture for the garage which is very similar to the real one.

4) Closeup of garage textures.

5) Let's hope I'm filling this place up soon with some interior elements. ( previously posted )

Tomorrow I will have more time on my hands so expect more screens then.

Very nice! Buildings are done, if you ask me (except for the interior, if you wish)
Time to move to the the next steps :).

Yup, you're right, it's time to move on. From now on I will be working on the circuit.

This is going to be a showroom, or a circuit ? :D
Hehe, it's gonna be both, but of course the circuit will be the most important element.

Just as a little bonus (WIP):
F40 in Azzurro Dino color, with custom racing stripes. More info in the future.
Screenshot_ferrari_f40_mlt_fiorano_28-12-117-18-53-8.jpg

After this you should expect only track stuff (layout, textures, kerbs, etc.) as updates.
