This is looking beautifulsome quick tree tests today. just basically scattered a bunch everywhere, no design at all, used blocktransform incorrectly too (over the whole area) so lighting is rather wrong, but I like the presence it gives on the track and its something to show progress. cant wait to design this properly. everything is so much more in context![]()
on the surface its looking good, and I think ill go with it after a bit more tidying up, but its not the best modelling job. but I also think it doesn't need to be for my first track and first attempts at modelling stuff that will leave my hard drive.This is looking beautiful![]()

The scattering of the grass looks good. The texture is a bit too straight and uniform (speaking strictly about the closeup shots; from distance it looks ok tho). Since you cannot do too much in the model when laying the grass, I think this variation needs to come from the texture. Imo, the texture can contain blades that are curved in various directions. The good news is we are only speaking about textures, so this can be changed at any time easily.
