There it is. First version of the new clean layout. I will work to add some terrain and make a first driveable version. Once we have some feedback and check accuracy, I'll add an HD physical layer for the road.

Really interested in this! I'm a casual 'trackday warrior' at Motorpark Romania so I can't wait to lap this in Assetto Corsa!

BTW, I did try a test version from @luchian and it's showing real promise. The foundation is there for sure. :)

Damn, tasty lap, nice skills !
Can't wait to give you guys the new version. Maybe this week-end. Will need feedback for the road anyway.

First of all let me tell you that I can't wait for this track to be ready. I think you are doing a great job. One thing that I noticed in the two clips posted above is the track margins seem to be wobbly. Here is a comparison of the exit of turn 4:

No worries, the video is based on a "quick" version, which meant pulling the original mesh (based on Google) to fit the plan more or less.

The version I curently work on is started from scratch, and follows the DWG plan exactly. So the zones that are straight, will be straight :).

Thanks for your comment and interest. I really hope to be able to release a version with the new road tomorrow. But can't guarantee though :).

It may not be/look very exciting. But it's very loved there, since it was/is the first real track in Romania. People were able to finally push their cars/bikes in a relative safe environment.

So, TEST version is out (check download button at the top).

DISCLAIMER:
Please don't judge anything else than the road layout (turns & elevation). Everything else is temporary, quickly made so you don't drive on a road in the sky :).

Now, will be waiting for some feedback before touching on the road again, because it follows the DWG plan already. Enjoy (..hopefully) :)

Just tested it out. The layout looks and feels very good; I mean it feels like the real thing and the laptimes are similar (somewhat slower in AC but that is to be expected before we have kerbs just like IRL).

Even the elevations feel good (e.g.: the entry and exit from the long course)! However the tarmac feels really flat, which is quite different from the real track. IRL there are some long undulations all over the track - you can see it from any on-board video.

To sum it up, with kerbs and those long undulations it will be really good. :D

Long undulations on the straight ? Or on all the "straights" from the main loop ?

(also do note, that this is only the visual layer; when the physics layer will be added, road will not feel as smooth - but that will be more like "road-noise", or micro-bumps - it will do nothing to the long ones you mention).

Problem is that the plan had detail measurements on the additional loop only, and a few on the straights. So we'll need some videos/or maybe you guys can identify where some are ?

EDIT: I added a quick AI line and a set of cams (..at least until @Gabriel44 makes a cooler one :) ).

The circuit is built on a "former" swamp. That's why there are those bumps on the straight line :)

I also drove it and feels good. About the ondulations here is an image that shows it (although a bit exagerated because of the lens): http://www.motociclism.ro/forum/uploads/monthly_09_2014/post-10481-0-51015800-1412099986.jpg

I would say unless we laser scan it we should not put them in the model and just stick with the microvariations.
Whoo.. is that real ? What section of the track is this ? It looks indeed very undulated :D. I assume this is a telephoto lens so it looks undrivable.. :)

..and I was worried that the track 's too bumpy
