Encryption of files is possible, yesI recognize the AC mod community are generally "open," and I've uploaded open mods to Race Department. That said, is there a way to code a mod, e.g., a car, so that it can't be shared beyond the intended user?
Thanks John.Encryption of files is possible, yes
You mean a paid mod? No, currently there's no way to prevent someone from re-uploading the mod. Thanks John.
My interest is not in preventing anyone from "modifying the Mod," rather it is in preventing a recipient from sharing the Mod with others.
If that is possible, are you able to direct me to any documentation on "How To?"
Why would you encrypt a track?Encryption for tracks would be nice to know how.![]()
It is not worth it IMO, the only thing which makes sense to encrypt is car's data because sometimes it can contain sensitive info for racing teams, but encrypting models is waste of time, just because even CSP encrypted stuff can be ripped directly from the game by some "special" toolsa friend recommanded to me - that i should do it.
I made everything on my own. vertice by vertice...
I told him, if anyone wanna rob the crane i build, this person could grab it from sketchfab anyway... and my track is not high end production anyway... but he keeps me doin it...![]()
